Recerca

· Estudi el comportament dels insectes, tant els mecanismes com la funció adaptativa. La pregunta fonamental que intento resoldre és perquè els insectes fan el que fan. M'especialitzo en el comportament sexual i la comunicació, en concret la comunicació química (feromonas, etc.). Recentment hem començat a investigar la neurbiología de la olfacción en col·laboració amb un grup del INRA de Versailles (http://www-physiologie-insecte.versailles.inra.fr/). En la meva investigació utilitzo principalment insectes plaga perquè, a part d'ésser d'importància econòmica, són fàcils de criar i hi ha molta informació sobre ells.
